Unfortunately, there was no-one else around as a witness.

And, according to the one account, whatever surveillance tape there may have been has been mysteriously disappeared.

I saw that. I'm expecting to get pulled over just for general principles while towing our groovy little trailer.. and I'll be hitting the audio record button on my phone when I am pulled over, just in case. It also needs an American Flag and a n NRA sticker, laughing.

FWIW, I've investigated trying to bike in (or out) of MSP multiple times since 9/11 shut off some of the service roads at the airport (which were the previous way to safely bike out of the airport).
As far as I can tell, the only approved way to do so from the Lindbergh Terminal (the main terminal) is to take a free shuttle to the Humphrey Terminal, whence you can get onto frontage roads and ride out.
Or take the LRT.
There is, as far as I can determine, no way out of the main terminal at MSP by bike without riding either the LRT or a free airport shuttle. But the signs on the ground were not there for a while, so there's no way to TELL that without having researched online first.
There's also a story here (registration required).
