It doesn't do "useful" things in my world(s). Perhaps if you are a model maker working very soft materials (aluminum). Heck, I've been working titanium (a real pain, but neat stuff), aluminum and steel. I need some weekends/evenings at home to finish up some projects though. Life has been busy.

Yeah, it seems like something for aluminum, brass and plastics. If you need more than that, get the Sherline (or something with big throws).
I'm also not convinced that, after you end up getting all the accessories, it's that much cheaper than the Sherline.
