I have often wondered why John Denvers music did not cause more violence - or Celine Dion's music for that matter. I wonder if that was what the CIA played when Noriega was holed up in Panama and he surrendered voluntarily.

In the early 60s Billy Wilder made a hilarious movie called One, Two, Three, starring Jimmy Cagney as the head of the West Berlin Coca-Cola plant. At one point Horst Bucholz is being interrogeted by the Stasi. They are playing "Itsy Teeny Yellow Polkadot Bikini" over and over. When they put it on the turntable with an offcenter hole, he screams, grabs a blank sheet of paper and signs it immediately. They then give the paper to the stenographer to type on the confession.

The adolescent boy in me (which is insignificant except when I'm channeling my own sons, now that they're grown and gone) would have to point out that the perp's name is Weenus Chumkamnerd. All sorts of wonderful adolescent boy jokes could be made from that, methinks.
