I just looked at my mail on my desk at work. There's a flyer for the Federal Information Security Conference 2008 being held in Colorado Springs. The keynote speaker is (I kid you not):
Major General Lord, Cyber-Commander
Wasn't he the bad-guy in some video game I used to play?

[edit history]
The description from the website makes Major General Lord sound even more like a video game character:
With about 3 million attempted penetrations of the Department of Defense network a day, cyber-war takes place all the time. The Air Force has been tasked to defend, deter and defeat these attacks through the Cyberspace Command located at Barksdale AFB, LA. General Lord is responsible for creating the Air Force major air command for organization, training and equipping of combat forces to operate in cyberspace. The mission of the provisional command is to set up the activities, processes and manpower necessary for the actual command when it gets formed on October 1, 2008, for initial operational capability.
Just how is he "training and equipping combat forces to operate in cyberspace"? Are we talking Lightcycles and Discs?

I'm guessing a couple of hundred gold each, and you have to find the WoW equipment "farmers" on your own...
