My friend Phil is selling his 2008 Mazda MX-5 Miata, retractable hard-top, with the Mazdaspeed suspension upgrade installed by Alara. He loves the car, but there are roll bar rules that have kept him from taking it on the track, and he's wanting something that he feels more comfortable driving in track traffic (where he might dent the sheet metal or slide off a corner).
If you live in the Bay Area and would be interested in a sweeeet deal on such a vehicle (and, yes, that new suspension is really nice even for road driving), drop me an email and I'll get you in touch with him. He'd really like to sell it to someone who'd appreciate the upgrades.

I wish I could offer to take it off his hands. Miatas are amazingly responsive little sportscars with a near perfect balance for a rear wheel drive vehicle. I dated a woman who had one and absolutely fell in love with it (even more so than the mr2 I was driving at the time)

You won't find many convertible packages out there that offer as much bang for the buck. The "fun-factor" is simply off the scale with these little vehicles. I'm on my second one, and enjoy every minute I jump in the cockpit. Dan, what color is Phil's Miata? Any photos to share/post?

If I remember right (he doesn't take it out of the garage much), it's black with the tan interior. Except for the suspension change it could be right off the lot.
