Two thoughts: one, they're awfully small looking. And second, think of the noise the vacuum cleaner would make when it found one that had escaped to the carpeting. Then again, they'd probably attach themselves to the chair or desk or something.

These things are fantastically distracting to play with.
They can also be a tiny bit dangerous. We were trying to slide a new server into place in our rack at the data center the other day and found that one had somehow migrated from my living room to wedge itself into one of the rails...
