WoW left me

Especially apropos because I'm in the midst of reading Jane McGonigal's Reality is Broken: Why games make us better and how they can change the world
and thinking about games and time (and puzzling over how some of these notions of empowerment and small achievable steps hark back to TQM and Continuous Improvement and any number of other management crazes): WoW left me for a younger player.
Hat tip.

Interesting you should link this on a day when I tackle the thoughts about how WoW has changed everything as well, albeit from a different perspective. Incidentally, I've read some articles about McGonigal and so far I'm on the fence about her thesis, assuming it's been adequately represented to me.
We will not edit your comments. However, we may delete your
comments, or cause them to be hidden behind another link, if we feel
they detract from the conversation. Commercial plugs are fine,
if they are relevant to the conversation, and if you don't
try to pretend to be a consumer. Annoying endorsements will be deleted
if you're lucky, if you're not a whole bunch of people smarter and
more articulate than you will ridicule you, and we will leave
such ridicule in place.
