Have you ever participated in the event? How large is 7,500 bicyclists for events in the Bay area?
Are you familiar with Willow Creek Road? Does it connect to any other major roads directly?

7,500 cyclists is a huge event, the Marin Century is capped at something like 2,700 or thereabouts. The GranFondo is a big deal, with many roads essentially closed to motor vehicles.
I haven't ridden Willow Creek, I've only done a few rides up there, all of them on my road bike.
