Larry, I think you are on the right track. I would love this with my family. Right now we just have a webpage that you have to log in to to be able to see pictures and updates.

It better allow me to securely connect with trusted friends and families servers to share information between our households as seamlessly as possible. I'd like to share my vacation pictures or videos with them just by telling them they were available. I'd like to have my own Facebook type environment without worrying about Facebook following me around and spying on me. I'd like my friends list to be my friends list and not Procter and Gambles.

Particularly, I'm thinking that when IPv6 and fiber to the home occur there is going to be a time when Dell (or a similar company) sells a home server that appeals to the "I want to spend $200 every 2 years rather than $6/month for a cloud service" crowd. This server will be a web server, will integrate into a home media system, and...
I'm not sure what else it's going to be, but I'm thinking that tying up this space with patents could be useful.
