SkyPump - I have to admit I like the name, and think the basic design shown is awesome. What I wonder is if it really really works in the real world, or is it just media/PR fodder?
Still, the idea of a self contained wind powered electric vehicle charging station is awesome.
How many of these, including manufacturing and eventual disposal of the units and the EV's will it take to offset 1 North Korean or Chinese wood powered vehicle?

Looks like 2 m^2 on a short tower. Around here that would get you about 10 mph
of wind or about 200W. It'll take a very long time to charge your car with that.

Thanks for the spec sheet, I should have dug farther. It has impressive specs at > 10 meters/second, or approximately 20mph. And that is a lot of wind. I kmnow places that would work, but most places it would not.
