Have I mentioned that one of the reasons I'm liking my KLR650 so much is that it's a 25 year old design, so it's both pretty reliable at this point (so I don't have to fiddle with it unless I want to), and yet it's simple enough that I can work on it when I want to.

And I've found, except for a couple of odd sized metric wrenches and allens (hex) I had to buy, my Mini is very maintainable far away from the dealer. Oil changes and routine maintenance are a snap.
