There are N+1 worlds, the clueless are at the bottom of the pyramid, and by sheer numbers, and with positions that until the modern era required little independent thought and understanding beyond the end of their nose, have become the shaky foundation of future society.

And for the record, effective modern-ish weaponry can be built with common parts and tools from any hardware store, or a toys-r-us or most car-fixing garages...

Effective less modern effective weaponry only requires a brain and will.

Very modern, and very ancient weaponry only requires the right words...

The pen/keyboard/voting ballot can still be mightier than the sword.
