The details are still fuzzy, and of course, getting tickets might be an issue. But part of the 2014 goals is a long enjoyable road trip to Burning Man. Nancy wants to camp with a group at "Spiritual Playa", which won't be the first time I've been Mr. Geek/Fixit with a bunch of spiritualists at Burning Man. I'm posting this here so we might be able to plan to visit along the trip, or in Black Rock City.

spir·it·u·al·ist [spir-i-choo-uh-list] noun
1. an adherent of spiritualism.
2. a person who is concerned with or insists on the spiritual side of things.
Just to clarify, I align with definition #2 above but most decidedly not with definition #1. And given that the first definition listed is typically the most common, I would not define the members of spiritualplaza.org as spiritualists, as I would expect it to be taken to mean adherents of spiritualism. As a rule, I think it's safe to say Christian Scientists don't talk to dead people.
spir·it·u·al·ism[spir-i-choo-uh-liz-uhm] noun
1. the belief or doctrine that the spirits of the dead, surviving after the mortal life, can and do communicate with the living, especially through a person (a medium) particularly susceptible to their influence.
2.the practices or phenomena associated with this belief.
3.the belief that all reality is spiritual.
4.Metaphysics . any of various doctrines maintaining that the ultimate reality is spirit or mind.
5.spiritual quality or tendency.
Although, I do align with 3 out of 5 of the above definitions!! Still.... the term 'spiritualist' has way more negative than positive connotations for me.

oh, and Burning Man? Yes, please! Preferably either camping with, or being an outside-of-camp support member of the spiritual playa camp. I expect I'll be hanging out there anywho...washing feet and spreading love, not preaching or proselytizing (ugh)..
