I have been somewhat skeptical about 23AndMe, there are an awful lot of claims made about the current level of "genetic testing" which aren't backed up by reality, or which are only very thinly supported. But this is interesting...
With genetic testing, I gave my parents the gift of divorce
"I would want a warning saying, 'check this box and FYI: people discover their parents aren't their parents and they have siblings they didn't know about.'"

How long before law enforcement starts using the 23andMe database?
We will not edit your comments. However, we may delete your
comments, or cause them to be hidden behind another link, if we feel
they detract from the conversation. Commercial plugs are fine,
if they are relevant to the conversation, and if you don't
try to pretend to be a consumer. Annoying endorsements will be deleted
if you're lucky, if you're not a whole bunch of people smarter and
more articulate than you will ridicule you, and we will leave
such ridicule in place.
