yeah, but people still read in a higher than wide aspect ratio, and use their mobile devices in that mode...

Then there's the mixed-mode presentation where someone's mobile device has a native landscape orientation so they turn it sideways to take a vertical video, and it comes up sideways when viewing on a desktop monitor where it's harder to turn your device.

I'm still trying to find ways to fool my phone or tablet into encoding the right orientation when I'm taking pictures straight down...
