While I have a problem with this type of script injection just to attempt to connect to wifi I can see the concept being a legitimate way of funding internet content as long as there is disclosure and agreement.

In the future, we'll buy bigger batteries so that we can charge our laptops at night at home and pay rent on our office spaces by mining bitcoin in the coffee shop during the day...
