Got English as a Second F*cking Language
yesterday (ISBN 0-312-14329-X). I highly recommend the process of ordering it, hearing your favorite bookstore clerk try to pronounce the title is very entertaining. The book is moderately okay, a few things are dated, and it really is targeted towards people whose primary language isn't English, but it's certainly $6.95 worth of entertainment.

"Moderately okay" sums it up pretty well. I was decidedly underwhelmed by the book, myself. On the other hand, The F-Word, edited by Jesse Sheidlower, is a positively brilliant dictionary of the term in all its many forms, although I suppose it's less fun to order.

Well, given that I ordered The Technology of Orgasm
at the same time, I think I probably need to go back and seal my reputation, then.
And I agree, looking at the book a little more from the perspective of a native English speaker, I'm a bit underwhelmed, I'm gonna drop it on a friend who's not, and who teaches English as a second language, and see how she and her students find it.
