When you want to accomplish something on OS/X, do a Google search for "AppKit" and that task, and all of the results are how easy this is to do on the various Linux desktop platforms. Sigh.

yeah, Generic-ish word searches are terrible these days. I typically think of what NS-Something might be involved, and start there.
