Just noting for my records, escaped Jury Duty this week, my group never got called (in fact, from the web site, no groups got called)

They have to try to predict cases since juries get their paperwork issued far ahead of time. Just managed to luck out on a day without cases.

Yep. Also I believe people tend to settle when the deadlines get closer.
