So this whole Apple/Patreon your subscriptions are going to cost more if you use the iOS app to subscribe raises the question: WTF does Patreon need a freakin' app for? Why can't we just use the web site?

Apparently, the mobile web site for Patreon is nearly unusable. Why? I don't know. Maybe Apple makes it difficult? Perhaps Patreon doesn't want to spend money fixing the issue? All I know is that more and more people are using phones for browsing than an actual computer, and Apple has a 60% US market share.

Yeah, I have had challenges with Patreon on a Kindle Fire, though I assumed that that was just slow crappy hardware.

Buuuut... part 1 of how JavaScript killed US public services talks about some of the JS suckage inflicted on all of us, and, yeah, Patreon could fix this.
