I whipped togeter a quick Perl hack to take Palm memo files as used in PalmWiki and convert them to a set of HTML pages: palmmemowiki.

Palmemowiki? Isn't he the CEO of Nokia? Or was he the head of the last Turkish Junta?

Maybe it's just my thick head but I seem to be missing something. How is this PalmWiki significant? Maybe if I understood the whole WikiWiki thing I might not be asking this quesion but I got lost going between WikiWiki and PikiPiki and all the other iterations of this mess.

I don't think there's anything super transcendent here, it's just that WikiWiki seems to be part of the next stumbling towards what Vannevar Bush was talking about back in 1945.
Wiki is just a way to say "this is a significant phrase" in memo taking, and if there's already an entry in the database for that phrase it gets linked to, if not a new page gets added. And the user can edit any page. Good Wiki like systems do bidirectional linking.
PalkWiki does that in whatever Palm note-taking memo environment you're already using.
Nothing cosmic, just another way to try to make sense of random scratches and scribbles.
