The local sex-positive organization/club (The Wetspot) does a Mystery Porn Theatre 3000 every month.

Hmmm... I stopped watching mainstream porn several years ago. But some of these don't look half bad. Can anyone identify where any of the pics come from?

Anyone know of any Wetspot-equivalents in the Bay Area?

One of the problems I've found in the Bay Area is that there are enough people on the fringes that there's critical mass for pretty much every sub-genre. Thus it's hard to get an overview, or ease into things slowly.
The thing I've found appealing about The Wetspot as I've seen it through the struggles of some of the participants on (notably the founder of) the SHS mailing list is that it seems like it groups a bunch of different folks in the same place. So rather than having to pick out in advance exactly what's interesting, folks can ease into the bits of the scene they find interesting. And in the case of The Wetspot it sounds like there's a very cool community formed around the place.
The Bay Area has no shortage of sex clubs. There are the swing clubs like Barry-n-Shell's, Lush, Club Nite Life and The Forum, but there are parts of the whole "swinger" scene that make me a bit uncomfortable; my email exchanges with folks make it seem like something of an extension of the pickup bar scene. Although I've actually heard a few good things about Barry-n-Shell's, the others sound way pretentious. And I'd like to find a space in which I can play with my partner, and have a good social experience too, but not feel pressured. Maybe once-bitten is my problem, but I feel a bit wary.
Despite my vanilla leanings, The Power Exchange actually sounds interesting. When we went down to Jezebel's Joint for the Guardian sex issue party last year, it was a fun place to hang-out ('til it got waaay too crowded), and my impression is that The Power Exchange has that same all-encompassing attitude, with friendly people who are happy to just socialize.
I keep reading the Up and Coming calendar, looking for cool events. I've gotten to a few Perverts Put Out readings, which were great, although a little heavy on the rape fantasy for Charlene's taste, but missed the last one.
Of course the lesson of Burning Man is "if you don't see it, do it yourself!". Any Bay Area folks interested in a night of MSTporn? Anyone got a house northern peninsula or so that might be mid-way between all us Bay Area Flutterby readers?
