High School Senior Toby Hocking brought Playboy Playmate Petra Verkiak, Miss December 1989, to his "winter formal" dance. She's 35, so there's a bit of an age gap, I wonder how this went over with his peers?

In the longer version of the story in the OC register the kid says he is taking her to "BJ's" on the Balboa peninsula. This is of course ae pizza place but the name makes it funny in the context of the story. He must have enjoyed saying that name to her. Ufortunately i was drinking in a bar nearby when they must have been there or else i would have seen them. Damn :-)

A different URL with the same (extended) story was sent around at work today. Am I the only one that read it and thought, "Someone take his dad out and shoot him full of horse tranqs or something?". Dear God canis is right...this IS an 80's teen-coming-of-age flick! I think it's Weird Science without the Science part! (Was I the only one who thought Kelly LeBrock looked a little over-the-hill in that?)
And Dan, you're right...I'm VERY pleased that my use of a word I abhor using (Dude) had a part in that great laugh I had.
