I'm not sure he'll necessarily appreciate the mention, but a while ago Eric Wagoner mentioned Gabba in a discussion. He referred to them as "an ABBA/Ramones crossover band". If punk disco is your thing, worth a listen, they've got samples for download.

Another oddball little band from hell that I recently ran across is The Woggles. Kinda like the Ramones/Monkee's connection.
And speaking of Ramones, is it any surprise that Dee Dee died from an OD?
