Eric, Asha, Charlene and I went to Millenium last night. Once again the food was very good; I hadn't thought about rosemary syrup on dessert, but oh my that goes well with fig. Service was off once or twice, but only at the "deliver the plate to the wrong person" level, and we had to wait for our entrees ("dining was unhurried"), but I forget how much I like that place. And apparently Monday through Thursday they're doing a prix fixe with a subset of the menu at like $26/person. At that price it's a steal. So if you're in San Francisco looking for eats during the week, check 'em out.

I can second Dan's opinion and add to it. Avoid the chocolate deserts. They are excellent, but excellent chocolate deserts are easily found in other restaurants. However, the fruit-oriented deserts and especially the bread pudding are absolutely phenomenal. Service was a little slow, but it wasn't the fault of the servers. The appetizers were great and the entrees incredible. Asha and I debated about showing up the next morning for the once-a-month Sunday brunch, but we were going to be doing more yoga with her teacher that afternoon and wanted to stick to raw foods (I guess we could have hit Roxannes...)

Thanks for the recommendation on the bread pudding, Eric, that's a personal favorite. I've been meaning to get to Millenium for some time, and y'alls' comments, coupled with a serendipitous mention by a friend IRL this weekend tells me I'm meant to go eat there, and soon. Can't wait! Any particular appetizer or entree recommendations? (I love talking about food...)

The fig thingie with the rosemary syrup was, as I said, out of this world. I don't think any of us had any complaints about the entrees, the pear appetizer had some neat flavors, the spring rolls were quite tasty, and I enjoyed my black rice thingie, though I'll try something else next time.
