I am sure the solution pre-dates Jefferson's Lap Desk and modern ones for laptops are available but usually just use my laptop bag. I have noticed that my laptop runs cooler and my battery lasts longer under Linux. He must have liked the warm feeling or have nerve damage, that is one part of my body that is very temp sensitive.

According to the register.. not a medical journal, no heat sensory nerve fibers in the penis. Embarassing to admit personal experiment followed: my tip is extremely touch sensitive (texture, pressure), but not very heat/cold sensitive. The shaft is fairly sensitive to both..
