unconventional sex = rape?

Gotta hand it to the "unconventional sex = rape" crowd, they're doing a great job at demonizing an Air Force Academy cadet who ran a web site to organize gang bangs. I've no more information than I can derive from that article, but it sure sounds a lot like this could be an innocent hung out to dry because the higher ups are looking for some excuses for the atmosphere there which reportedly fostered attitudes which led to sexual harrasment and a number of rapes.
(Okay, what made the topic picker grab Heinlein for this?)

Gotta hand it to you, Dan, the assumptions you make amaze me. And, this isn't the first time.
Earlier, you've indicated that cases where consent has been retroactively rescinded should be treated similarly to rape. So, if one of the woman involved here changed her mind -- if several of these women changed their mind -- then wouldn't the officials be justified in going for the root problem, that is, the organizer?

Wacky-assumptions-r-us.
Yep, I could easily be convinced that this guy was setting up situations which were exploitive and wrong. I haven't seen an article yet in which anyone's put forward evidence which would support that, rather I see a bunch of bluenoses trying to hang him out to dry.

Since this is the only mention I've seen, I could be missing something. But, the article also mentions that they've been taken to task for not taking accusations of rape seriously.
It would be easy to envision a situation where these "bluenoses" didn't take accusations of rape seriously because they were, in fact, these group-sex situations that were supposably consensual.
But then, that is just my imagination as I've not seen anything else about either situation.
What gets me is that you want to believe the cadet is innocent in this case (that is, not acting maliciously), but in cases that could be easily seen as non-malicious (retroactvely recinded concent) you would willing to press charges.
It is much easier for me to see miscommunication in a case of recinded consent and manipulation in the case of a spammer setting up group-sex situations.

Dan, the sjgames referer below appears to be spam. No link exists on that page to this site. Wonder why...

At one point I bought a run of ads on the Daily Illuminator, I wonder if there's something from that still left in rotation.
