Ah. Hadn't got that far, which means he almost certainly had a chane to sleep in flight (turn on the autopilot, let the ground crew monitor instruments), which makes his contribution even less interesting.

It's a little more difficult than just turning on the autopilot and letting the ground crew monitor instruments. Fossett admits to napping but I'm not sure if that type of napping would help me remain alert enough to fly after 36 hours.
