I don't wanna out him or nothin', but I was over at Larry's place and noticed he was listening to Hayseed Dixie. I'd heard of these folks before, they do bluegrass covers of AC/DC tunes. Turns out, that's "among other things", and you can catch a bunch of Hayseed Dixie live recordings on archive.org.

Cool, Dan. I didn't know about this. Yeah, I've been a fan of theirs since hearing "Big Balls" by them about 5 years ago.

After listening to 2002 Johnson City show I actually think that's one of their weakest. Which might be something of a testament, 'cause these guys are pretty darned good.

From the 2002 Johnson City show, I'm on to the 2004-12-31 show which... Lots more crowd noise on the recording, but they're doing things on "Highway to Hell" with rhythm which are very cool, but intricate and complex enough that they might actually be distracting me from working 'cause they take attention to follow. Very cool stuff.

Shortly after I began dating Ann, I met some of her [Bandwidth warning: video ahead] crazier, but talented boater friends and we ended up going to "Airfest" which was essentially a large group of drunk boaters and rednecks partying in a field in Polk County TN...... and the main attraction was Hayseed Dixie. They were quite good and it seemed the perfect environs for them.
