Kneesavers

2005-12-09 00:05:01.520574+00 by Dan Lyke 1 comments

Bike fit stuff: While many cyclists go for as narrow a pedal spacing as posible, some eschewing a third chainring just for that reason, others find that they reduce knee pain by spreading the feet further apart. KneeSavers are little studs that screw into your cranks, and then your pedals screw into the end of them. Put here for future reference 'cause Charlene sometimes has knee issues, and it's yet another thing to try.

I can see where those would help, especially a women with 'good child bearing bones structures', her hips are physically jointed wider apart. I wonder if they'll help Nancy as well, she has knee issues on moderate rides.

Side note:The Glucosamine/Chondroitin/MSM Joint Complexes actually work for me.. I can tell a marked difference when I am taking them. Exercise helps a LOT if I don't over do it. I've been taking "hikes" along the side of Signal Mtn, that sometimes involve rope and some climbing gear...good exercise.
