I'm working on a long rant that talks about just this sort of irresponsible behavior, but... it's still funny: Guy claims any stupid website can get two million hits. Girl says "no way" and ups the anté http://www.helpwinmybet.com/
The funny bit is that the earliest implications of this are just starting to sink in:
I just got a notice from my ISP that I would have to upgrade my
hosting service due to the increased volume.
This is going to start getting expensive.
Just wait, dude...

Oh... That's just too good. I sent the guy $1 via PayPal... Too bad she hedged her bet by making him find the third and not allowing a pro... I'd have pitched in another $1 to help him cover the cost!

It looks like he's getting about 100 hits/second. That's 6000/minute and 360000/hour. 1M hits every three hours. At that rate, if he get's a threesome for every 2M hits, he'll be wore out in no time.
Maybe I should send him another $1 to pay for some Viagra!

Personally, I think the whole think is a ruse to get click-through numbers on his affiliate marketing program. Look at the links.

Not disagreeing (Lots of traffic and I'd be doing the pimping anyone I could get a return from thing), but the only links I see on there right now are a text link to Expedia and a link to his dating profile (which is probably the one that would really bring in the bucks). He had a link to a gaming site when I checked yesterday, but that's gone now.

And can I just say that this is what I love about Flutterby: A link about a threesome becomes discussion about web economics.

Okay, the mailing list I got this off of has enough about the "dating service" he's allegedly using that I've rel="nofollow"ed the link. And I think the best line comes from the Sensible Erection entry:
Nothing says love like forcing your partner into a humiliating sexual
act against her will because you managed to accomplish a task with no
relevance to your relationship to her, thus proving her wrong (which
gets women CRAZY HOT).

Taking everything he is reporting on face value I think his girlfriend was wanting a threesome to begin with and this was her way of testing the waters.
