Birthday announcements are one thing, but anniversary announcements always feel a bit cheesy.
Therefore, on the topic of "one thing": Happy 38th to me.

A very happy birthday to you, from me too! 38 years young -- Mike and I had lunch yesterday with a friend who turned 98 this month; still going pretty darn strong and independant. Her latest plan? Re-decorate her bedroom, throw out all her clothes that are "older than 10 years" and buy a whole new wardrobe.

And I'm still so young... ;)

Nancy, as I bike more I'm running into lots of people who are raising my benchmark of what it means to age. Last year I thought it remarkable that a seventy-something could hike thirty-some-odd miles in a day, this year I now find it expected that in my sixties I'll be able to ride a bicycle 200 miles in a day.
Sean, you kids these days... back when I was a boy we had to build our own logic gates out of string and pulleys... Of course I think I've got about the same amount of memory then as now.

Happy Birthday! - My idea of age has certainly changes as well.. Meeting lots of 50-70 year old bicyclists..

And many more, Old Man! (Says the guy who just recently crossed the '35' line in the sand...)

Well, from the other side of 50, I wish you all the best and want to offer further reassurance that when you're over the hill, you pick up speed. Especially on a really nifty new bike. ;-)

Durnit. I saved this page in a tab so I wouldn't forget to add my wishes, and then I went and did :-(
Happy B-Day Dan! :-)
