While I foundly remember you skate surfing parking bumpers in the parking lot across from the Stone Lion.... she just blew you away, with style and grace.

Ah... a moment of silence for the Lion and the skating, sleeping, smoking, frisbee flying parking lot across the street... both have left us now. ********* "Look at me now, sharp as a tack, except for a few billion brain cells I wish I had back..." --- Jackson Browne, The "rehab lyrics" of Cocaine

Ya see.... the missing brain cells lead to double postings. ;-)
And from the same Jackson Browne bootleg....
I ain't sayin' it wasn't fun at the time
Staying up for days, crazed out of my mind
Waking up in strange places
feeling like an army marched across my tongue....

The recent beard shaving exposed some of my mementos of that era. Alcohol plus high speed on skates plus parking bumpers equals scars.
One or two of these on my face even happened while I was wearing a helmet.

And here are a few more pictures of her doing her stuff. Some of that one footed stuff is incredibly impressive to me 'cause when you're one footed it's hard to get any leverage to turn.

Wow. In looking through a few more of those videos, I'm now solidly convinced that figure skating seriously needs some re-invigoration. It's funny that inline skating started out as seriously athletic and risk-taking, and has become about artistry, while ice skating is going hard towards "who can do the most quads".

And I'll add this guy's artistry to my favorites. I like the song, too.
