Interesting: How Many of Me claims that there's only one "Dan Lyke" in the U.S., but I'm fairly sure there are at least two others, although I've never gotten them to respond to email. (via Medley)
(Addendum: Aha! Ten "Daniel Lyke"s.)

It could be worse. No only are there several other Chicagoan's with my name, but one of them has the same Social Security number, up to the last 2 digits! It has made for some fast talking when you go for a mortgage. I can only assume that we applied for our SSNs the same week back in 1965, when you could just go into a SS office and pick one up.
PS: 1,307 other folk with my name in the US.

Hmmm... 180 Eric Wolfs but there were only 5 Eric Bradways...
Two Eric Wolfs I'm familiar with:
Eric R. Wolf, PhD, the anthropologist (died 1999) who warrants at WikiPedia page!
Eric Wolf, the Real Estate agent complete with cheesy website.
Eric Wolf, aka Brother Wolf, the story teller (with an extra helping of cheese on the website).
Eric Wolf, the Perl Programmer from Dallas.
Eric D. Wolf, the ecologist at VA Tech.
Eric Wolf, the minimalist...
Eric W. Wolf, who has the same problem with getting boarding passes as I do!

162 of me, but really only one of me. :-) I do kinda like that there's an annual "Diane Reese Award" given to someone working to end domestic violence. There's also someone working in the athletic dept. at Penn State who even shares my middle initial.

My Friend James O'Kane runs The James O'Kane Fund (http://jamesokane.com/fund/), which selects a
James O'Kane to be the recipient of the proceeds of the Fund. So far, they've only been going to one
James O'Kane, but that could change.

35,000+ of me. And I've met about 10 of us.

According to the FAQ, if there are only a few of a given name, they don't display the actual count. I'm guessing the cutoff is 10, because they say there are 12 Christopher Rasch's in the U.S.

Despite my rather pedestrian first name, I very well might be the only Mark VandeWettering in the United States. HowManyOfMe reports that there aren't any of me though, so perhaps I'm even less than one of a kind.

Yeah, I can't get any variation of your last name to pull up something there.
It's interesting that out of 300,000,000 people, there are last names statistically small enough that they'd apparently be identifiers alone, but I've managed to find at least one more.

The results they report are not counts. They are estimates based on combining first name frequencies and surname frequencies. I think they are using the raw data that is freely available here: http://www.census.gov/genealogy/www/freqnames.html. It is from a Census undercount study performed in urban areas, and Hispanics and Blacks are over-represented.

I notice on "how many of me" that "Lyke" is "Statistically the 15287th most popular last name. (tied with 318 other last names)". Kinda encourages humility
