Yeesh, what is it about you mid-Georgians today? I think this one's closer to Larry's haunts: Guy kills 1,100 lb boar just south of Atlanta.

I actually live closer to the first one but I'm working closer to where this big pig was killed. I live in Lawrenceville, Georgia and I'm working every day in Forest Park, Georgia. Interesting things happen in the Atlanta area.

You can also add this to the strange news stories in mid-Georgia this week.

"Johnson said that the victim and the suspect were yelling at each other and were toe to toe and chest to chest," according to the police report. "Johnson said that the suspect suddenly bit the victim on the neck and the victim began to bleed."

Gwinnett Police spokesman Cpl. Darren Moloney said the doctor who treated Carr said the mortal wound was a laceration, not a bite wound.

"We're not chasing a vampire," Moloney said. He said during traumatic events, "people interpret things differently." Because the investigation is ongoing, Moloney said, he couldn't say whether a weapon had been recovered.
