Remember when a Flutterby entry was the second Google result for "french military victories"? Wanna know why I haven't gone out of my way to grow the visitor baase for Flutterby? It looks like other sites are learning the lesson all over again: Violet blue pointed to Not All Traffic Is Created Equal, which gives even more reasons that you might not want to be popular.

Hey Dan, I don't know how to post in here.. and I've got a question to throw out to the *far more skilled than I* in geekdom. I'm no coder, so I'm at a loss.
Here's the problem. I hope you're cool with my posting it here.
I need to be able to fit over 100 locations on the left opening page in
the following type program
http://www.nxtbook.com/dx/VCCCDX/VCCCDX7
Each item listed opens to a page in the book (cover on right side as
program opens). I need programming that will allow us to enter by region
either through internal scroll bars, dropdowns or other device a method to
fit all cities (more than currently listed) in each region while retaining
operable links to the specific page. The function is key, the method
should be easy for non-tech savvy readers to understand.
I'm not the one that can approve the work, but I need some options to bring forward so we can "git'er done" and relatively quickly. I know it can be done, but the folk that have done it are in Venezuela and not too quick to respond to us. So, I'm looking for options.

Oh Meuon? This sort of stuff is his bread and butter. And I think it might be something that would be better explored as a face-to-face dialog, because it sounds like you're not quite sure what it needs to be yet either...
That page is entirely a Flash app, although I think the functionality could be done in HTML, either with one of the tree controls (click on a region, open up the cities in that region, click on the city, get the page with the city selection still in a frame on the left side, be able to re-navigate by closing and opening regions and clicking on cities.
You're wanting this just as a data display system, right? Pull stuff from a database, render to some set of pages that people can access on the web?
Yeah, Meuon could slap together this in... well... I don't wanna commit him to anything, but let's get him in on the conversation.

Warkitty.. Talk to me. Dan's right, it's the kind of BS Web GUI Stuff I do - all day, every day. BUT: It's Chattacon weekend. Meet Meuon and Princess N there.. or wait until next week. And, we can probably do it IN Flash, or in spite of it.
BTW: Nice print to web conversion.

I may or may not find you this weekend. If so, great, if not, I'll talk to you Monday.
