Interesting. Might spend a moment tracking down the source of this article tomorrow: Scented Oils Tied to Boys' Breast Growth
Lavender and tea tree oils found in some shampoos, soaps and lotions can temporarily leave boys with enlarged breasts in rare cases, apparently by disrupting their hormonal balance, a preliminary study suggests.

Gynomastia is an enlargement of the male breast tissues. While this can occur at anytime during life, it is more common with the onset of puberty. Breast reduction surgery can be required, though sometimes it resolves on its own. The emotional consequences tend to be absolutely brutal for an adolescent boy.

Re: breasts on an adolescent boy: Yeah, that'd be totally brutal. Heck, the phrase "man boobs" is generally pretty derogatory, if they had nothing to do with weight that'd be even worse.
This one caught my eye because tea tree oil (as an antiseptic) and lavender ('cause it smells good, and because anecdotally it seems to speed healing) are totally in my repertoire, but more importantly as people talk about the impacts of things like leached estrogens from plastics, those same people are spreading those two oils around quite liberally.
