Daze Reader has an entry about how at least two of the firings appeared to have stemmed from an unwillingness to pursue obscenity prosections, and links to The Salt Lake Tribune on the topic, and AZ Central on Charlton's ouster and AVN on an interesting prosecution of a porn shop for materials that another shop, under control of the bankruptcy trustees, continued to sell.

Commercial plugs are fine, if they are relevant to the conversation, and if you don't try to pretend to be a consumer. Annoying endorsements will be deleted if you're lucky, if you're not a whole bunch of people smarter and more articulate than you will ridicule you, and we will leave such ridicule in place.
