Hi again.
I've been glad to see that iDrama has had the critical mass required for
this recent debate.
I wonder whether some of you would also be interested in the exchange and
discussion of stories and storytelling in a more general context, on the
storytellers list:
http://www.angelfire.com/ny/talesandstories/
This is a group of people interested in exchanging and discussing various
kinds of stories. The emphasis to date has been on the traditional,
non-branching, linear story, and a lot of very good stories have been
posted, but discussions of new, interactive approaches are welcome at any
time, and there is certainly also room for experimentation with interactive
story in a virtual space filled with other storytellers and story fans.
This is not to ignore the fact that the level of debate on i-Drama reaches
a level of specialised knowledge that the storytellers list would not
currently be capable of. I think the two can complement each other, and as
the moderator of storytellers, I think that list can be used as a place to
promote this list. I trust it is OK with Dan that I attempt to create this
kind of complementation and cooperation here. I have also just sent
information about iDrama (from the iDrama home page) to the storytellers
list, and this may bring some new voices into the discussion here.
Best regards
Coilín ÓhAiseadha.
